Chumphon Pinnacle is an excellent dive site and the best one in Ko Tao. The spot features several pinnacles and underwater boulders with great marine life such as batfishes, barracudas, potato groupers, Leopard Sharks and all the usual reef fishes of the gulf of Thailand. You can also see juvenile Bull Sharks. They have long been misidentified as Grey Reef Sharks. These Sharks are curious and potentially dangerous but no accidents have ever been reported. If you are very lucky you can also spot a Whale Shark!!! The best chances to encounter these gentle giants are from February to May as well as September. Manta Rays are also occasional visitors. The pinnacle starts at 12 meters and Maximum depth is 35 meters deep. This superb dive site is more suitable for advanced divers. Chumphon Pinnacle is located 11km North West of Ko Tao
