Pillaarsteen dive site is really interesting due to its unusual reefscape. However this dive site is actually affected by cooler water coming from the south pacific ocean and with a visibility not as good as it usually is in komodo national park. The topography is really interesting with lots of small caves and big walls. You can see there turtles, reef sharks, giants trevallies, bambook shark and giant barracudas! The corals and sponges are also very beautiful!
You can dive Pillaarsteen all year long. Access: from the Shore. See the map of Pillaarsteen on the right for the exact location.
