Shark Fin Reef Dive site is one the most popular spot of the Andaman Islands. It is a good place to see various reef sharks like Whitetip and Blacktip sharks as well as the Leopard Shark. There are also many stingrays to see. The maximum depth is about 40 m deep and this dive site is more suitable for experienced divers. The scenery is really dramatic with large granite rock boulders covered with hard coral and superbs gorgonians sea fans. There is also a large swim-through worth exploring, but be careful not to break the coral. Current is generally gentle but can sometimes be rough. Shark Fin Reef is located 3 km South East of Koh Payan not so far from the Boulder City dive site.

This location is a Reef. This is great place for spotting and diving with Sharks!

Best time to dive: the ideal period to plan holidays here isOctober to November. Access: from the Shore. See the map of Shark Fin Reef on the right for the exact location.
