Manthiri dive boat review
The 26 meters Manthiri is a liveaboard cruiser operating in the Maldives. The dive vessel has been operation for twenty years and was often upgraded in order to keep up with the industry standards.
Boat Cabins & Layout
The Manthiri is fitted with 6 generously sized double-occupancy cabins. Indeed, as the dive boat welcomes a maximum of 12 divers on-board each trip, it promises an uncrowded experience. Among the cabins, four displays twin beds and two have queen size beds. Each cabin comes fully furnished, with individually controlled air-conditioning, plenty of storage space and en-suite bathroom. Plus, nice amenities such as hair dryers and mini-bars are available in the rooms.
Manthiri’s On-board Facilities
The Manthiri’s main deck is home to a sizable communal area which includes the dining room and salon. Lavishly decorated, the salon offers a relaxing space where you can enjoy the audio/video system along with the cozy couches. Most noteworthy is that the Manthiri features a camera room. Indeed, you’ll find a well-lit area with all you need to view, edit and upload your pictures and video.
Furthermore, the Manthiri’s top deck sure is the favorite spot to enjoy the Maldives everchanging view. Plus, you’ll find a shaded area as well as a sun bather’s area fitted with sun loungers. It’s perfect to enjoy during day, but also in the evening at sundown.
The Manthiri liveaboard has a large hull, allowing space for the roomy cabins. Indeed, with a wide beam of 7.6 meters, the dive vessel is very stable. Of course, the dive boat is equipped with all the latest navigation and safety technologies.
Scuba Diving with the Manthiri
The Manthiri is assisted by the Vansantha, it’s very own diving tender. Indeed, the 54ft long diving dhoni carries all the equipment needed for the diving operation; it’s a dive center of it’s own. Also, it lays low by the water, allowing easy entries and exits. The professional scuba diving team of dive guides and instructors will help you all along the way of this beautiful Maldivian adventure.
Finally, as you may have read above, the boat will make underwater photographers happy as there’s a dedicated camera room on-board. Otherwise, the diving dhoni has plenty of space for everyone to be comfortable in getting their gear on and off.
