Yasawa Princess dive boat review
The Yasawa Princess is a cruise ship which also operates as a liveaboard. Indeed, it offers scuba diving cruises on some itineraries including the best of the underwater world of the Maldives. The vessel’s operation is in good hand as its owned by the well known Deep Blue Dive center since 2012.
Boat Cabins & Layout
The Yasawa Princess is a huge ship featuring 28 cabins and plenty of communal areas. Indeed, with a maximum capacity of 56 guests and a neat layout, that’s plenty of space for everyone!
The cabins are spread over 3 decks with 7 being on the bridge deck, 7 on the main deck and 14 on the upper deck. Moreover, the cabins all have A/C as well as a private en-suite bathroom with free toiletries. Plus, there is a safe, a mini bar and plenty of wardrobe space in each cabin.
Yasawa Princess On-board Facilities
The vessel’s capacity is limited to 56 guests but the social areas could welcome much more people. Indeed, the dining area offers about one hundred seats and features a big buffet bar. The food served is always a mix of international and local fares. Moreover, the dining area features a corner bar, serving wine, beer and liquor.
Furthermore, the indoor lounge is described as the ideal place to hang out with friends, have a drink, read a book or watch some TV. It features plenty of cozy seating space and it’s fully air-conditioned. Finally, if you walk up to the sundeck you will find a sizable area to soak in the sun rays in the comfort of a daybed or a lounging chair. It’s also from this top deck that you will get the best view of the Maldives.
Scuba Diving with the Yasawa Princess
The Maldives are known for it’s epic diving possibilities in clear and lively waters. The Yasawa Princess offers both regular and scuba diving cruises. Indeed, with a large scuba diver customer base that comes back over the years, the operation only gets better. Moreover, the scuba diving operation launches from a dedicated dhoni which takes you right to the action. Professional dive guides and/or instructors supervise the dives. Equipment can be rented on the ship.
