  1. We are bunch of hydrographic surveyors. We map the seabed and its geology, but we cannot see the beauty of the underwater view until we see your pictures. We may use them for our backdrop or posters. Thanks.

  2. I’m going to Mabul in last Aug and seeking for info and guidens if anything to be aware about
I’m diving with cameras and looking for macro
    and wide Pictures.
    any heads up ?

  3. Diving in Sipadan is like a dream come true, ever since I’ve learned to dive I’ve been dreaming to dive here and it is as promise, paradise under the sea. The rich marine life fascinates all land beings, the colourful corals and the various kind of fishes can really captivate our full attention.
However, during my dives there I also witness the ugly sides of human. At the depth of 20m we were alarmed by what’s been told to be the most cruel kind of fishing in the region, fish bombing. It was such a huge destruction to this piece of paradise left behind, I cannot imagine how much marine lifes were killed during the process but it definitely have to be stop.
I, or any other divers and sea lovers would sincerely hope the authorities can do something to stop these destruction to protect what’s left…

  4. Kurt from Canada!
Been all over the world but not RED SEA
Where should I start or go?
Sudan? Hurghada? Wish not to come home disappointed. Any info welcome.
    Thanks Kurt

    • Hi Kurt.
I have dived in Hurghada, Sharm, elGouna, Marsalam and this summer i tryed Taba. I love macro photo and Taba is great for that. Clear water and lots of small tiny life to explore.
I liked Marsalam best. The corall was amazing. So much unspoiled and collerfull reefs. Its not mutch to do there except for diving. And its greate dives.
Not far from Taba there is the famous Blue hole. I didnt try it, but friends have recomendet it. I go ther some day. Blue hole is located between Taba and Sharmelshjek. Sharm is also fantastic. But more explored and sadly, lots of dead coralls. But of course ther is amazing divesites as well.
I think that were ever you chose to go in Egypt red sea, you will have some greate dives.
Sudan is higly recomended from a friend of mine.
Im going on my first liveaboard late november from Hurghada and realy looking forward to it.
Hope you get a great vacation in Red sea.
      Regards Laila

  6. Hello Julien,
We would like to go diving on a cruise in Indonesia first week of nov. We are actualy in Jakarta. What do recommend?
    Tanx for kind reply.

    • Hi Reza, It really depends on what you want to see, your budget and your level. I would recommed the Komodo Islands, Raja Ampat or around North of Sulewesi Island.
      Enjoy your trip ;-).

  7. We are trying to plan a trip to Australia and would love some guidance. Can anyone tell us the best time of the year for good diving and where to stay?

  8. G’day.
I’m planning a dive trip to thailand.
Wanted to ask whereabouts is a good place to base myself so as to get good variety of diving?
Not real keen on a liveaboard and also wanted to stay somewhere a bit “out of the way”?
Not real interested in staying in downtown phuket.
Any info would be much appreciated.
    Regards
    Ryan

    • Hi,
I am planning a trip to Thailand next January.
I was wondering how your trip went? And if you found a safe and good diving centre? I like the to go to places that are a little “off the beating track”.

      :)

  9. Hi fellow divers, i’m blessed to have dove Indonesia, Thailand, Maldives, Mexico, Malaysia, Oman etc. did liveaboards in some of these places including a liveaboard many years ago from sharm el sheikh. Covered thistlegorm and nearby islands in north Red Sea.

Planning second trip to Red Sea. Could anyone who is experienced in Red Sea or dove Red Sea well enough to advice please:

Which is the next best place to anchor myself? I don’t want to be in sharm again. With young kids, no liveaboard for a while. Hoping to do some of the less crowded and more ‘pristine’ areas in south Red Sea. Hurghada? Marsa alam or Hamata? What is the difference between diving off hamata and marsa alam?

I checked a dive operator ’emperor divers’ and their rates are a lot higher for hamata and marsa alam – I thought that was weird because these seem more ‘isolated’ and less popular spots compared to Sharm or Hurghada.

    We are planning July/ August.

Has anyone dive Sudan recently? Safe to travel to?

Thank you all so much in advance!

  10. We are fortunate to be living in Kuala Lumpur and want to enjoy all the best dive sites. Is there a company here that we can work with to help us organize the trips?

  11. There are a lot of dive centers around Kuala Lumpur, who offer dive trips to the best dive sites around. Happy diving! :)

  12. I would like the dive in Sardine Run, but it seeam to be quite expensive. I will try to find a 3 days option(but still very expensive). Mean while I intend to go in Tofo for scuba and aftertaht to have a small trip in Capetown to have the white shark and seals experience.
What you think, it is a good period for that, considering my short time to book the flight and to try to arrange some scuba there, or it is a better idea to go in Sipadan or Bali-Komodo? Thanks, Calin!

  13. We Will go to Dubai in july and want to dive in musandam, where is a good place to stay and a good divecompany?

  14. Dear sea friends welcome you to Hurghada

  15. Hi, my wife and I are looking at going to Malaysia somewhere later next month (August) My wife is keen on snorkelling and I am keen to dive. I have dived a dozen times in Fiji, Aussie & Thailand but a not certified. We are in our 50s and I am also slightly disabled after breaking my back in an accident 4 years ago. I walk with stick but have snorkelled in Rarotonga without any problems. We are looking for somewhere to stay with nice sandy beaches, snorkeling pretty much off the beach, clear water, and where they will take me diving. I could perhaps do a paddy course while we are there. We would be flying into Singapore, so somewhere close by and not too expensive.
    Many thanks
    Cliff

  16. My brother and I are plannig to travel to Malaysia.
    Probably in October.
We wonder where are the best places for diving, not beginners, but beautiful and enjoyble.
    Thank you.
    Marian.

  17. My daughter and I are coming to Malaysia in mid-August. Please advise us of Padi Dive Schools with whom we can dive as well as best places to dive at this time of year. We both have advanced open water certifications.

  18. I want to know if i can bring my friends to Musadam during December month. They heard about snorkeling and they want to try. Do you think is possible to have this experience if they have no experience in snorkeling?
    Regards,
    Nellie

  19. My wife and I will be arriving in Brisbane, Australia in October and will be staying in Australia for about a year before exploring the rest of this area of the globe. I am open to suggestions on prime areas to dive, day charters vs live aboards. As well any suggestions on dive shops. Thanks for your input.

  21. I am on a sailing yacht currently at Banda, Indonesia, and headed toward Wakatobi. I’d like to know where I can anchor my boat and get in some great diving. We typically use a local dive shop for the first few dives, but it looks like there are some good possibilities in the eastern islands, probably no dive shops.

Descriptions and lat/long would be wonderful. Any help is appreciated.

  22. Hi there, This is a bit random, but have you tried the ProEar mask? I have trouble with very sore ears when I dive, I’ve always had trouble with painful ears when I fly or dive and thought the ProEar may be the answer for me. With thanks!

  23. Hello/Bonjour! I am on Holiday during Chinese New Year (23rd January to 18th February) and I am thinking of diving in Indonesia/Malaysia. Is it a good time to go diving there at that time? Please note that I have been diving for a while (1,000 + dives?). Thank you for any advice!
