Thank you for this informative post. What are the expenses like to be? Is Italy (and where exactly?) a good place to learn scuba diving for the first time? I don't think I am comfortable to go dive 30 m, is there anything else on the upper part of the water?
Many thanks!

Hi Mick,
I'm not going to answer this as I am not a medical practitioner. I will only say this: diving gear provides you air where the environment doesn't provide it for you. It doesn't do the breathing for you nor control anything like a ventilator/breathing machine does.
Stay healthy and safe!
