The 30 meters Moonima is a liveaboard offering dive cruises on some of the Maldives best spots! Indeed, with multiple itineraries offered and flexibility in mind, you will get the most out of your diving trip! Plus, the dive boat has been completely renovated in 2015, insuring an increased comfort and maintaining safety standards.

.

Moonima’s On-board Facilities

The Moonima was well built, with space and comfort in mind. Indeed, the indoor lounge is cozy with couches, chairs and tables. You can enjoy a tea, coffee or cocktail there, watch TV, read a book, play board games, etc. There a full entertainment system including TV/DVD/CD and Hi-Fi Stereo system.

Furthermore, you can head outdoor and lounge in the fresh air of the Maldives. Indeed, with 2 sundecks and as many lounge areas, you’ll find a place where to relax and have a sense of privacy.

The upper and top deck have sundeck areas, partly shaded, with plenty of cushioned loungers. The upper deck lounge has a full bar, where you can get wine, cocktails and beers. Plus, there’s a lounge at the front as well as and alfresco dining area / lounge located at the aft of the main deck.

Vessel Layout

Built in 2003 and renovated in 2015, the Moonima is maintaining it’s standards high and satisfying customers year after year! You can compare de Moonima to it’s sistership, the Sachika, a 33 meters liveaboard welcoming up to 22 guests.

The Moonima is smaller but also welcoming a lot less divers, which makes it a more private boat.

The dhoni is fully equipped with the latest technologies and safety features to insure a worry-free scuba diving experience.

Finally, you will love the professional crew which will guide you through some of the best scuba diving ever.

6 liveaboard reviews for “MY Moonima”

  1. Stunning boat! It was really great scuba diving with the crew! Plus, we were only 10 on-board! It felt like having our own semi-private yacht for a week! We’ll be back! Perhaps the Sachika is also interesting, the team mentioned it a lot!

    Our plus:
    + the diving of course!
+ the food was delicious and plentiful!
+ the comfort and the space!

    Our downs:
    – it didn’t last long enough!

    Thanks!

  2. Hi all!
Recently got back from a diving trip on this boat from 4th till 11th march 2017. We were a group of 16 adults plus 2 children.
The overall experience was not too bad, except few moments that spoiled these precious moments.
We were greeted at the Male airport by our boat managed Alessio with a nice smile and friendly manners. Hassle free transfer to the boat, our home for next 6 days. We were very much excited.
We had a short briefing presented by Manager Alessio explaining what we can or cannot do, which absolutely great. Then at the end of a briefing we were suggested to leave at the end of our stay tips to crew at a minimum rate of $70 per person. I will get back to this later.
To begin with I was a little bit shocked to see these Mooniima boats at such stage. Previously I read that this boat was completely renovated in 2015. Well, to me boat looked a bit tired: old cabin furniture, old sun beds, indoor lounge did not look to me so nice and cosy as per advertisement, again old furniture, relatively new plumbing system in the bathrooms. Once we entered our designated room (boat cabin) there was terrible smell form diesel absolutely unbearable. Apparently our cabin 1 was located next to boat engine.
The food was very simple: eggs for breakfast, toasts, local tuna salad and papaya fruits. Rice, spaghetti and fish for lunch and dinner. On two occasions we had soup made from dry powder “Cup’A’Soup” style.
Unlimited drinking water, tea and coffee. Alcohol chargeable at an enormous rate- $25per bottle of wine (cheapest) and $4 beer can of beer (330ml).
They have a very interesting billing system on the boat. We were allowed to take any alcohol drink and pay at the end of say full bill.
Paying my bill I’ve noticed some extra drinks added, without any problems after painting o manager all extra drinks were removed from my bill.
WI-Fi available at £20 per person.
No Nitrox was available for a dive.
Last morning. After short discussion, we decided to leave tips for the crew of $50 each plus if anybody wanted to leave individually to members of the crew.
Once Alessio noticed that the tips are not as she requested then problems begun.
Crew stoped being friendly and helpful, breakfast was not served as usual, only toasts and jam, tea, coffee. When we asked where is tuna or eggs we were told no time to cook.
Then we were told that we need to pay extra tips as its not enough. We did not pay any extra.
As a result, we were delayed with our departure from a boat back to Male by nearly an hour, they simply refused to transfer us back.
However, we were here for a diving and the price we paid reflects the quality.
Will be back to Maldives on a different boat!

  3. Isn’t this boat run by Top Class Diving ?
Why is it being listed as a French
    Seafari Boat ?
It is run by Top Class Diving an Italian Company !

    • Hi Jane, I’m sorry but I don’t see where we say the boat is French? It is indeed run by Top Class Cruising, just like the Sachika.

Thank you for the specification for Top Class!

      Best bubbles!
