Okyanus JD Liveaboard Review

The Okyanus JD liveaboard is a 28 meters liveaboard operating diving cruises in Turkey. Renovated in 2020, this traditional-style Turkish sailing liveaboard will allow you to discover the best diving spots on the Turkish Riviera. Leaving from Marmaris port, the diving cruise offers multiple itineraries along Turkey’s coast.

The cabins

The Okyanus Liveaboard offers an intimate experience as the boat welcomes only 12 guests. You will find all the cabins on the lower deck, with two (2) cabins featuring double beds and four (4) having both a top bunk and a double bed. Every room offers air-conditioning and an en-suite bathroom. Daily housekeeping is also offered.

Okyanus JD’s On-board Facilities

On the Okyanus JD liveaboard, you will find plenty of amenities to enjoy your time onboard. Among others, the upper deck has an outdoor lounge featuring an inflatable mattress, perfect to enjoy the sun between dives. The outdoor dining area is l located at the back of the upper deck, perfect to take in the views while you eat. Meals are prepared fresh daily by a cook on-board.

On the lower deck, you will find an indoor lounge with a bar. Moreover, the Liveaboard offers activities such as yoga classes, stand-up paddle boarding, snorkeling, and the opportunity to go on land to visit some cities. On top of that, other amenities such as audio & video entertainment and free wifi are offered on board.

Scuba Diving with the Okyanus JD

Going scuba diving on the Okyanus JD will make you discover the lesser-known diving spots located in Turkey. The vessel is custom-made for diving and has a professional crew to make sure that every guest has the best experience possible. At the stern, you will find a large dive deck with individual gear-up stations and rinse hoses. For the divers who don’t want to bring their gear, please note that you can rent it on the liveaboard. Other facilities for divers are offered on board such as a charging station and outside shower.

For the itineraries, the liveaboard mostly offers 7 days/6 nights trips. While on the cruise, you will get to dive twice daily and explore dive sites in Bozburun, Aktur, and Datça regions.
