Crocodile Island is located South of Boracay Island. It is regarded as one of the best dive sites of Boracay. It is also a popular Snorkelling Spot however there is often quite strong currents so snorkellers should be careful and check the conditions.
Crocodile Island has a teeming reef life in shallow crystal clear water. The maximum diving depth is around 18m deep making it accessible for divers of all level. It is also a great place for Macro Underwater Photography. Here you can spot all the usual reef fishes of the Philippines such as the beautiful Lionfish or maybe even Moray Eels. For those budding photographers out there, Nudibranchs and Sea Snakes can also be found. As a drift dive, you can relax while you check out beautiful coral with Gorgonians and Sea fans on the beautiful walls.
It takes about 15min by boat from White beach to get to Crocodile Island. You can also take a Snorkelling Day tour to Crocodile Island and to other great Snorkelling sites around Boracay Island.
You can dive Crocodile Island all year long. Access: from the Shore. See the map of Crocodile Island on the right for the exact location.

Diving Reviews for this region
Boracay Island
Great place to learn Scuba Diving or to take courses. Some interesting and challenging dive sites and good macro photography opportunities.
amazing coral colours especially soft and table
giant sea fan on the wall and on deeper sandy slope
lots of fish…anemonefish, snappers, anthias, lionfish, sweetlips, ribbon eels and garden eels + lots of nudi and shrimps
strong current, good dive guide and experience in drift recommended
Another of Boracays top ten dives in the Philippines, Soft Corals, Masses of fish sloping reef, Caves and wall, The dive starts at just 5m and usually max depth is around 20m, this site got hit very hard by Typhhoon Yoland which stripped a lot of the top corals at shallow depths , but still a fantastic dive
jeainnj And now Fox reports that a town hall in Tampa became violent. When you ramp epole up the way Beck, Limbaugh, Cavtuo at al do, should it be a surprise when something like this happens. And there will be more violence. Count on it. And than unbytduedlo, Mr. Beck and his ilk will make hay from this and say that the mob was pushed to it by those damned socialist liberals.
hey everyone…I went there 2 days ago Feb 17, we only snorkeled because it’s so much cheaper and most of the site is reachable depth
for snorkelling, I found it amazing colourful lots of variety crystal clear too, I read slot that it can have very strong currents there so just be aware but it was choppy water but no currents when we went. fantastic site well worth a visit…we negotiated a paraw just to go there exclusively as we missed that site on a longer boat trip the day
before 1500peso for 6 of us… I think less than £25.
highly recommended.
