Laurel Island is in fact made up of 2 small Islands (Big and Small Laurel) located just a few hundred meters from Boracay. It is a popular dive site for all level of divers. It is also a popular Snorkelling spot where you could also explore Laurel Island during an Island hopping day tour. However as the current can sometimes get quite strong, you should be careful when Snorkelling this spot.
The diving is good with steep reef slopes and walls covered with beautiful hard and soft coral. It is a great place for underwater macro photography as you dive quite shallow around 10m deep and there are plenty of colourful Nudibranchs and other small critters to find. There is also a very large swim-through called the «Tunnel» giving fabulous pictures opportunity.
Laurel Island is located just behind another popular dive site in Boracay, Crocodile Island so you could explore both sites in a single trip if you wish.
You can dive Laurel Island all year long. Access: from the Shore. See the map of Laurel Island on the right for the exact location.
