Vision III dive boat review
If you’re planning a trip to Cuba and looking for something different, unique, personal, intimate and fun – the choice of Vision III could be just the vessel for you!
Imagine your own sailing yacht on a personalised voyage which – conditions dependent – passes Los Canareos Archipelago and Cayo-Largo with a possible option to visit Cayo Rosario or Cayo Sigua.
You can check the availability, schedule and prices for this Boat here.
The Canareos Archipelago features approximately 350 islets. And, for those lucky enough to spend time on Vision III, some of the least dived, most preserved and exclusive dive sites anywhere in the world.
Walls, drop-offs, reefs and an abundance of aquatic life is waiting to meet you in the clear, blue, Caribbean waters.
Originally constructed in 2003, but subsequently renovated in 2015, Vision III is a stunning 16.m long mono-hull sailing yacht. With a top speed of 10 knots and a typical cruising speed of 6 knots, her Captain and Crew are able to elegantly transport you from dive site to dive site in style.
Cabins and Boat Layout
Vision III has only 5 guest cabins with space for a maximum number of 6-8 guests plus crew. This is a personal and elite vessel for small groups. 2 double cabins are at the stern of the vessel and a further 2 on her starboard side. Cabins have ensuite bathroom facilities.
There are four showers and four toilets with the industry standard hand pump toilette seats.
There is a spacious saloon area within Vision III’s interior too, where you can relax and read, listen to music or play board games.
The kitchen is equipped with oven, gas stove, fridge, ice-maker and a portable BBQ.
All meals are provided onboard and there are a wide variety of different dishes on offer featuring both Cuban and international cuisine. Or, should you catch a fish on your surface interval in between dives, the crew will be very happy to cook it for you.
Included within the package are also complimentaries toiletries, hot and cold drinks and alcoholic beverages.
Diving onboard Vision III
Onboard there are 12L tanks with INT fitting. However, if you have brought your own European regulators, DIN adaptors are available onboard.
The highly experienced Captain and Divemaster on crew know a plethora of dive sites around the area with caves, shipwrecks and drop-offs. And the legendarily diverse aquatic life in the area means there is something for every diver.
Divers go into the water directly from the yacht with the divemaster and night dives may be available at the discretion of the divemaster.
A large ten-person dinghy is on standby for shore excursions.
Itineraries
Vision III operates a 7 day/6 night itinerary to Canarreos Archipelago and Cayo Largo.
Expect to budget approximately EUR1,234 for the 7 day stay. This equates to EUR177/day. However, please note that this does not include some extras including dive equipment rental (if required), crew tips etc. Please contact us for further details.

Great, the diving was amazing and we would love to do this again!
BUYER BEWARE. They canceled this trip on me three weeks before I was to depart with no explanation. I had bought my air fare to Havana and I’m out hundreds of dollars.
