Smiling Seahorse
The MV Smiling Seahorse is a liveaboard boat offering affordable diving cruises in Burma (Myanmar). The Smiling Seahorse is a newer boat that welcomes up to 16 passengers on-board each diving cruise. Indeed, the 25 meters ship started operating in 2018 and is the new boat of the Smiling Seahorse Fleet. In fact, this fleet used to operate the MV Thai Sea, both in Thailand and Burma. Thus, the Smiling Seahorse might be a new liveaboard, but it comes with an experienced team!
Miss Moon
Built in 2009 and renovated in 2014, the 18 meters Miss Moon runs itineraries in both the Thai and Burmese Andaman waters. Miss Moon caters to smaller groups as it welcomes a maximum of 10 guests on-board each diving cruise. There are 5 comfortable cabins as well as 2 bathrooms, on the cabin deck. The Miss Moon features a garden sundeck and indoor salon with television and a spacious dining area. The dive deck features everything a diver could need and the professional crew is always there to help!
Deep Andaman Queen
Built in 2012 and completely renovated in 2019, the MV Deep Andaman Queen is a 28-meter long steel hull motor boat running on a top speed of 12 knots. The liveaboard offers itineraries in the Similan Island area in Thailand, and in Burma (Myanmar) with the Mergui Archipelago. This vessel is suitable for every budget, it can be either a very cheap, budget-friendly adventure, or you can add-on some luxury to your trip as you wish. The Deep Andaman Queen welcomes a maximum of 25 guests in 11 spacious cabins.
Dolphin Queen
The Dolphin Queen offers routes on the Andaman Sea but also in the Burmese Andaman with itineraries on the Mergui Archipelago. The 24 meters liveaboard welcomes up to 22 divers on its diving cruises. You have the choice of standard double cabins, twin shared rooms or quadruple occupancy. Indeed, the Dolphin Queen offers cheap diving cruises to some of the best destinations in Thailand and Myanmar. The dive platform has two showers as well as everything you need in terms of rinse tanks and space for your stuff.
The Phinisi
The 34 meters boat called “The Phinisi” is also known as the Cheng I Sao and offers scuba diving cruises in Myanmar and Thailand. This liveaboard is the sister ship of the renowned “The Junk” and features 9 cabins, welcoming up to 18 guests on-board. Indeed, every cabin comes with private bathrooms and all the amenities you can expect. Plus, the boat offers plenty of space to lounge around between the dives. Scuba diving with The Phinisi will take you to some of Myanmar’s best dive sites, such as in the Mergui Archipelago.
Bavaria
The MV Bavaria is a 28 meters liveaboard welcoming up to 24 guests on-board each diving cruise. The liveaboard offers itineraries in Thailand and Myanmar on which you will experience some of the best diving in the Andaman Sea. The ship features 12 air-conditioned cabins, with most having private ensuite facilities. Moreover, the MV Bavaria’s 3 full decks, as well as the sun deck, allow for plenty of space to enjoy your diving cruise. In terms of scuba diving facilities, the liveaboard offers equipment rental and features a fully equipped diving deck.
Thai Sea
The Thai Sea is another great option if you are looking for a budget liveaboard either in Myanmar or in Thailand. Indeed, the 20 meters liveaboard welcomes up to 12 guests on its diving cruise itineraries in Burma and Thailand. The ship features 6 cabins, all fan-cooled, and displaying only shared bathrooms. The Thai Sea features both indoor and outdoor lounging spaces as well as a spacious sundeck area.
