This Vietnamese Wreck is also known as the Pasir Tani wreck, and is a very popular dive site in Perhentians Islands. The ship sunk around 1976 and lays now on a sandy bottom at 22 m deep. It is possible to penetrate and swim through the wreck. The current can sometimes become strong and the visibility is not so good. The shipwreck is full of corals and gorgonians with many small fishes and invertebrates hiding. Most of the time, it is possible to see great barracudas and sometimes a leopard shark. Around the dive site, there is a lot of debris with scorpiofish, stonefish, nudibranchs and so on. It is better to dive there with a good torch!

Most people are here for Wreck Diving.

Best time to dive: the ideal period to plan holidays here isMarch to April. Access: from the Shore. See the map of Vietnamese Wreck on the right for the exact location.

Perhentian Islands

Nice and easy diving with nice coral and rich marine life. The snorkelling is very good with many harmless blacktip reef sharks.
