Home Run Reef is located on the East side of Racha Yai Island. It takes about 2 hours by boat from Phuket to reach Racha Islands. The spot consists of a coral slop slowly going down to 22 meters deep. There is a small wreck called the Andaman Explorer wreck of a former diving boat a bit outside of the reef. You can see there all the usual reef fishes of the Andaman sea as well as the Great Barracuda hunting around. The coral is nice too. The current can be strong on this site so always check the conditions before jumping in the water. Visibility is usually good in this area.
You can dive Home Run Reef all year long. Access: from the Shore. See the map of Home Run Reef on the right for the exact location.
