Guests have the option to choose which of the 4 double bed cabins and 2 twin bed cabins they prefer to sleep in. All cabins are air-conditioned and complete with en-suite facilities like towels, shower, toiletries and bedding.

One Liveaboard feedback for “SY Diva Andaman”

  1. The following review based on my 3rd experience on the same boat and same ownership I have been used to. Between my 2nd live aboard and 3rd time 5 years has passed by. For people not interesting to read my review to the end here a short summary: Within the years me and my family (we always dove the together, my son, wife and me) have not been on the Diva the overall quality has changed dramatically. From a luxury cruise it once was to a 1 star day trip you wish to reach the end asap.
As my family and me have been on the Diva it was a matter of showing respect to the owner of the boat (Yannick) and summarise our concerns directly to him. Unfortunately the owner had not enough courage to reply back to me and explain the drastically change of quality. For that reason I am writing this review to make the readers aware of that the might expect, if booking a “LUXURY” and expensive cruise on the Diva, the prise for a cabin (and we booked two) is 160.000TBaht (so we paid over 300.00TBaht) for a 6 days cruise. Following text is mainly a copy from my email to the owner, Yannick:
    (…)
We decided to spend another cruise on your boat as we have been quite impressed of the luxury standard we have experienced in the past. Even though we have seen the diving sites in Thailand very often your boat was our first choice for diving in Similans again. The price you charge for your cruise now does not reciprocate the quality and the amount of service on your cruise, which you once have offered and have been so proud of.

It is so sad to say, that we all could not see anything from what we have experienced the years before.
    (…)
It is one side of the story, if the food quality has changed dramatically on your cruise; Curry for every dinner (really!?); no crabs or lobsters anymore for dinner as promised on a luxury cruise of yours; frozen/old shrimps instead and the same wrinkly oily croissants every day; no room service any more, no change of towels; BUT COCKROACHES on your boat, walking in the cabins and all over the dining table where we all are having our food every day!!!
Despite this I would have thought, that you as the owner and captain of the boat would have at least apologize face to face on the last day to your guests after the rain leaks into our cabins and on our mattresses and we (and all the other guests) needed to find a dry sleeping place by our own.
    (…)

I do not know what’s happened in the last years and why this boat is still selling “luxury cruises”, which it is definitely not true! I wish the owner wakes up and do something, otherwise he will lose the business which you have once been so proud of.
    Best
    Dani
