The tunnel dive site is situated on the west side of the big channel just a bit South from the Layang Layang resort. It is a big crack around 15 m deep in the wall where you can find fantastic coral. This dive site is not for action and pelagic fishes. It is more to observe the small stuff and critters hiding in the cracks and in the superb coral formations. As it is quite shallow, you can increase your bottom time and it is a very good spot for underwater macro photography. So don’t forget your macro lense. You can also see all the usual reef fishes as well as turtles and big schools of jacks swirling above your head.
Best time to dive: the ideal period to plan holidays here isFebruary to April. Access: from the Shore. See the map of The Tunnel on the right for the exact location.
