Gorgonian Forest is definitely one of the best dive sites you’ll find in Layang Layang! It is a wall going down from 15 to 40 m deep located on the Northern side of the Layang Layang Island. Here you can observe schools of jacks and nice gorgonians. It is one of the best dive sites to have the chance to spot hundreds of schooling Hammerhead Sharks in the right season (April, May). So don’t forget your underwater camera and look into the blue! An experience of a life time! Be careful the current can sometimes be quite strong but this is what attracts the big fishes. Visibility is often very good too. Along the wall, you can find huge barrel sponges and numerous sea fans dancing with the current. Enjoy this incredible dive site
Best time to dive: the ideal period to plan holidays here isFebruary to April. Access: from the Shore. See the map of Gorgonian Forest on the right for the exact location.
