D wall dive site is a magnificent huge vertical wall going down to 2000 m deep! It is located Southeast of The Valley dive site. Around 40 m deep, the wall breaks before continuing going down, don’t go deeper than this unless you have special equipment! Be careful, the water is sometimes so clear that divers think they are not so deep… Here you can often find Leopard Shark resting. You can also observe many Grey Reef Sharks patrolling in the blue, Giant trevallies and the superb Manta Ray gliding by in the current. For macro lovers, you can also find pygmy seahorses living in the sea fans along the wall as well as frog fishes. Along the wall there are numerous sea fans, barrel sponges and gorgonians as well as nice coral. If you go deeper and look into the blue you might have the chance to see hundreds of schooling hammerhead sharks! Enough to give you an adrenaline rush! Also a very good place for underwater photography, so don’t forget your camera! Like always you will finish your dive and make a nice safety stop in the shallow and colourful coral garden. What a dive site! Maybe one of the best of diving Layang Layang Island, enjoy
Best time to dive: the ideal period to plan holidays here isFebruary to April. Access: from the Shore. See the map of D Wall on the right for the exact location.
