Shark Point is one the most famous and popular diving sites of Koh Phi Phi. It is maybe the best place to spot many Leopard Sharks resting and sleeping. The site consists of a large rock going down to 22 meters deep on a sandy bottom where the Sharks usually stay. Don’t worry, this kind of Shark is totally harmless to us humans! The spot is situated Southeast of Ko Bida Nok.
Shark Point Phi Phi is sometimes classified as a Drift dive. This location is a Reef. This is great place for spotting and diving with Sharks!
You can dive Shark Point Phi Phi all year long. Access: from the Shore. See the map of Shark Point Phi Phi on the right for the exact location.

I recently went snorkeling around Shark point near the Phi Phi Beach resort. I was amazed to see many Black Tip Sharks patrolling the shallow waters all varying from 1-2 meters in length. They won’t get much closer than 5 meters to divers/snorkelers, but the sight of them was amazing! Plenty of exotic tropical fish to see in these waters and a variety of sea urchins as well.(Make sure you wear protection for your feet)Sea Urchins were found in shallow areas along with Anemones and coral, which all can give a nice sting if you happen to brush against them. Enjoy the scenary, you are in the tropics!
