Beacon Beach is actually a wreck dive on a former 27 m Similan liveaboard, the Atlantis X, sunk in 2002 in 30 m of water. The bow of the wreck is at 16 m and slowly going down to the stern at 30 m deep. This dive spot is a perfect wreck for beginners. It is not far from the famous Beacon reef site and you can even combine both in a single dive. During the exploration, you can find many batfishes, blue spotted stingrays, and in the shallows you might even spot a sea snake, octopus or lobsters. This wreck also offers great underwater photography opportunities.

This location is a Reef. Most people are here for Wreck Diving.

Best time to dive: the ideal period to plan holidays here isOctober to November. Access: from the Shore. See the map of Beacon Beach on the right for the exact location.
