Boulder city diving site in the Similans features many boulders worth exploring. There are beautiful fan corals between the boulders. It is a good spot to observe reef sharks, Leopard sharks, the superb Napoleon wrasse as well as many humongous bumphead parrotfishes and barracudas swimming by. It is also possible to encounter Manta Rays and even a Whale Shark, so always keep an eye out in the deep blue! It is located on the south east of the Similan island number 3. The current is usually gentle but can sometimes become quite strong. The visibility is very good between 20 meters and 30 meters. The dive site is around 22 m deep and it is more suited to open water advanced divers. Just nearby there is another great dive site, the famous Shark Fin Reef.
Best time to dive: the ideal period to plan holidays here isOctober to November. Access: from the Shore. See the map of Boulder City on the right for the exact location.
