MV Atlantis Azores

MV Atlantis Azores is a liveaboard safari vessel, offering lavish tours of the reefs and drop-offs of the Philippines. This great liveaboard is owned and operated by Atlantis Philippines Dive Resorts & Liveaboards.

MV Atlantis Azores was built in 1989 and since has been regularly updated and re-fitted to maintain the high standard anticipated in this marketplace; her last refit being in just 2015. Aluminum hulled and at just over 32m in the length, 6m beam, MV Atlantis Azores liveaboard is of ample size to accommodate the 16 divers and/or guests.

Boat Layout & Cabins

Atlantis Azores diving boat has a total of 8 ‘State Rooms’. All located below decks. Each cabin has double and single style bunk berths. Also, each cabin has it’s own private ensuite head, shower, hairdryer and complimentary toiletries. One of the eight available ‘State Rooms’ is the owner’s. If available, this cabin is larger, has a desk and additional storage space.

Beyond your ‘State Room’, returning to the central deck, you’ll be able to find a comfortable saloon area, complete with TV, entertainment and comfortable seating, should you wish to catch a movie in the evening. In addition, each evening the staff provide a short presentation on some of the marine life, a slide show or presentation on upcoming dive sites.

Also inside on the central deck you’ll find an opulent dining area where freshly prepared meals and snacks are prepared throughout the day. Included with the price are all drinks onboard – including a social serving of alcohol when the day’s diving is done and you wish to relax and unwind.

As you would expect, outside on the upper deck you’ll find a sun-deck towards the stern of the vessel, complete with a hot tub to relax in and take in the scenery and the ocean horizon.

There is another covered area upstairs where you can take a seat, relax and perhaps read a book in between dives overlooking the sea.

Scuba Diving onboard Atlantis Azores

Completing multiple dives over several days, enriched air Nitrox is obviously a huge boost. And, as you would expect, the diving facilities onboard are able to cater to mixed gas divers for an additional fee. Also, should you be a Tek or CCR diver, your needs can be catered for with advanced notice. All options are available – including completing some additional training onboard to take your diving to the next level.

Underwater Photographers on board are well looked after and on the dive deck you’ll find your own personal storage area – 3 tiers with more than enough space for camera equipment. Be aware that on this liveaboard diving equipment is an additional cost to be budgeted into your calculations – as are Philippines marine park fees.

Diving is conducted from one of the two high-powered RIBs that accompany the MV Atlantis Azores around these amazing voyages.
