Manta Mae Liveaboard Review

The 30 meters Manta Mae is a liveaboard built in 2014 which sails in Indonesia. Indeed, with destinations such as Komodo and Raja Ampat, this dive boat is sure to impress with it’s traditional phinisi style and lavish accommodations!

BOAT CABINS & LAYOUT

With only 3 cabins, catering to a maximum of 9 guests, the Manta Mae proudly boasts to be offering an unparalleled personal experience. The Master cabin is huge and features a King bed plus a single bed that can be used as a lounger. The dive boat is fully air-conditioned and includes a full en-suite bathroom in each cabins.

Moreover, the 2 remaining cabins are deluxe en-suite and feature a queen size bed with an additional single bunk. Plus, every cabin has plenty of storage space, including a safety box, and a flat screen television.

MANTA MAE’S ON-BOARD FACILITIES

The Manta Mae welcomes a maximum of 9 guests, meaning most of the time, it’s 6 guests only, which means more than enough space! Plus, the dive vessel is elegantly furnished and decorated with a traditional zest.

The extensive lounge and bar will please even the most discerning individual. Indeed, with plenty of comfortable seating options, a fully stocked bar, a plasma screen TV and an Apple computer, it has everything you need!

Furthermore, the outside is just as attractive, with amazing lounging space, either in the sun or the shade. There is also an alfresco dining area where you can have your meals served and still contemplate the view.

VESSEL LAYOUT

The Manta Mae is a very spacious diving vessel considering the 6 to 9 guests only on-board and a crew of 4. It’s much alike the Adelaar, which welcomes maximum 8 guest in 4 cabins and was built in 1902 and renovated in 2011. Indeed, the Manta Mae welcomes maximum 9 guests in 3 cabins. That being said, it is much newer as it was built in 2014. Finally, they are both traditionnally styled and luxurious vessels offering diving cruises to Komodo. The Manta Mae also offering Raja Ampat itineraries.

DIVING WITH THE MANTA MAE

With some of the best dive sites in the world on it’s route, the Manta Mae promises incredible scuba diving. You can choose to discover either the biodiversity of Raja Ampat or the Mola-molas and manta rays of Komodo. Either ways, land activities, beach barbecues and kayaking will compliment your diving cruise!
