Oceanic dive boat review
The MY Oceanic is a liveaboard offering scuba diving cruises around Indonesia. Renovated in 2016, the boat offers itineraries on the Komodo & Rinca National park, but also to Alor, Flores and the Forgotten Islands.

The cabins
The Oceanic welcomes a maximum of 12 guests on each voyage, keeping the cruise small and private. Indeed, there are 6 staterooms with en-suite bathroom and air-conditioning. You will find either 2 twin beds in the rooms, or 1 double bottom bed plus a single top bunk.

MY Oceanic’s on-board facilities
The vessel’s interiors are simply, yet lavishly decorated. The lounge and dining room pictured below is comfortable, and boast plenty of space for the 12 guests. You will notice the sizable windows, allowing a great view on the many islands of Indonesia. The lounge offers Nespresso coffee, soft drink, snack, etc.

Furthermore, there’s plenty of space to enjoy outdoor as well. First, there’s a small, uncovered, sundeck at the bow from which you get the most incredible view on Komodo Islands. Secondly, the bigger lounge is covered and located at the aft of the MY Oceanic.

Vessel Layout
The Oceanic is operated by the same team that has been running te SMY Ondina for a long while. Plus, as being recently renovated, the boat has all the latest safety and navigation technologies.
Scuba diving with the MY Oceanic
The vessel rarely follows a pre-defined path as their motto is “expect the unexpected”. That being said, the crew has a solid 16 years and over of experience in the region, so you can also expect the best diving sites of Indonesia!
The MY Oceanic features a camera room / work station, as pictured above. Plus, the dive deck is big, boasting storage and kitting up stations for everyone. Also, the boat is assisted by two diving tender to help get you right to the action packed waters!

One of the best Wreck Dives in the World!!! And the most easy for sure, 30m from the Shore and starts at 4m deep! Fantastic Marine life and great Coral!

No current, Good visibility, unusual Marine Life and one of the BEST Diving sites around Bali for Muck Diving: Puri Jati (P.J.).
Padang Bai
Night Diving, Underwater Macro Photography, Resident Whitetip Reef Sharks, Huge green Turtles, and crystal clear water! Also a great Snorkelling spot!
Menjangan Island
Menjangan Island is famous worldwide for Wall diving with small caverns to explore. The reef and Coral are also great. A very nice wooden wreck from the 19th century: Anker Wreck.
Nusa Penida / Nusa Lembongan
One of the best spots in the world to see the rare Mola Mola and the graceful Manta Rays! Big fishes and action with lots of sharks. Very good Visibility and stunning Coral.
Candidasa
It is all about action! Big pelagic fishes, hunting action in the current, and many Sharks! Regular seeing of Hammerhead Sharks and Mola Mola!
Bali
Diving in Bali is simply amazing as you will see both an incredible array of marine life and plenty of wrecks. Indeed, Bali's underwater world will expose you to meet interesting critters, fishes of all sizes and mantas rays among others! Plus, scuba diving in Bali means being all in for stunning underwater visibility and great opportunities for drift diving. !
