A smaller boat for the northern Red Sea
Blue Force 2 brings up to 18 guests to the wrecks and reefs around Sharm el Sheikh. With nine twin cabins and a 28 m hull, it offers an intimate setting for a week built around diving, shared meals and time on deck. The main choice is between five diving days on North and six on Extended North.
The boat measures 28 m by 7 m. Blue Force Fleet says it was completely rebuilt in March 2019. Its current Egyptian programme concentrates on the northern Red Sea, with Sharm el Sheikh as the starting and finishing point. Choose it for that combination of wrecks, reef walls and a relatively small guest group.

Lower deck or windows upstairs?

The upper deck is the natural starting point if daylight matters to you. All cabins are twins: ask about sharing arrangements or the single-occupancy supplement if travelling alone.
Life between dives
The main deck has an air-conditioned living and dining area, with sofas and a television for slower moments after diving. Two outdoor sun areas, at the bow and higher up, give you somewhere to stretch out with a book or enjoy the changing view. On a boat of this size, the atmosphere is likely to matter more than a long list of luxury facilities.
Meals are buffet-style. The operator describes a changing selection of vegetables, chicken, beef, fish, salads, rice, pasta and fruit, with eggs, cereal and yoghurt among the breakfast choices. Snacks fill the gaps between dives; drinking water, tea and coffee are available through the day. Discuss vegetarian meals and other dietary needs when booking, especially where allergies require more than simply leaving out an ingredient.
Coming with a non-diving partner?
Snorkelling is mentioned in the operator’s onboard information; non-diver acceptance, fares and suitable stops need confirmation for the chosen departure.
Diving from Blue Force 2
Two tenders support the diving programme. The operator lists three dive guides, aluminium S80 cylinders with DIN/INT fittings, and both air and Nitrox. Bring your certification and insurance details. Rental equipment should be requested at least 15 days ahead; the pre-trip information calls for a dive computer, surface marker buoy and a torch for night dives.
Advanced certification is recommended on the route pages. Ask the team to assess your experience against the actual programme, particularly for current, deeper wreck visits and entries from tenders. A northern itinerary can include demanding dives even when other stops feel straightforward.
North or Extended North?
Both programmes start and finish in Sharm el Sheikh. North includes seven nights aboard and five diving days. Extended North adds a sixth diving day, followed by a hotel night: its eight-night package comprises seven nights aboard and one night in a Sharm hotel on half board.
The markers show the destinations named in each operator programme. They do not prescribe a sailing order: the published descriptions leave the sequence to the departure plan and conditions.

Tiran is represented by Jackson Reef and Ras Mohammed by Shark and Yolanda on the map. These are location references, not a guarantee of an individual dive site. Weather, permits, diver experience and the skipper’s programme determine the final stops.
Main dive-site locations
Thistlegorm and Kingston supply the wreck interest; Ras Mohammed and Tiran bring reef walls and fish life. Small Crack and the Dunraven area extend the mix around the Strait of Gubal. Coordinates are based on the Egyptian Chamber of Diving and Watersports site directory.

Budget beyond the cabin fare
Compare the dated cabin quote with the extra charges below. The operator’s 2026 route pages list these amounts per person; reconfirm them with the booking confirmation.

Full board aboard, water, tea and coffee, the guided dive programme, air fills, a standard cylinder and weights are included in the operator programme. Extended North also includes the final hotel’s half-board arrangement. Transfers follow the operator’s scheduled group arrangements; check your own flights against those times.
Allow separately for flights, entry requirements, rental equipment, alcoholic drinks, personal spending and any extra hotel nights. Check the cover and exclusions of any included insurance against your needs. A cabin upgrade, sole occupancy or a private transfer can change the total even when the advertised trip price looks similar.
Arriving in Sharm el Sheikh
Fly to Sharm el Sheikh (SSH). The operator’s March 2025 pre-trip sheet names Travco Marina and estimates the airport transfer at about 20 minutes. It gives Saturday boarding from 19:00 and disembarkation before 10:00 the following Saturday. The North route page also specifies boarding from 19:00; use your final joining instructions to confirm the marina and timings.
For guests booking their own flights, that pre-trip sheet limits the included airport-to-boat transfer to Saturdays and asks for flight details in advance. An earlier arrival, hotel pickup or different transfer day needs a separate arrangement and price confirmation. Extended North includes a hotel night after leaving the boat; confirm the hotel transfer and the final dive time before booking your Sunday flight.
What guests loved — and what could be better
Food and the crew’s approach recur in the dated guest accounts below. The more critical feedback is narrower: one guest raised a cabin maintenance issue, which is worth separating from the otherwise positive comments about the trip.

Arnaud D, writing on 29 October 2024, appreciated the variety and generous quantity of the meals, as well as the care shown by the guides and crew. His account highlights the social side of a smaller boat: the people running the week mattered alongside the diving.
Ahmad R’s 14 April 2025 review praised the organisation, dive briefings and food. He also enjoyed finishing with a hotel night, a useful perspective when weighing the Extended North package against the standard week.
What could be better
Sascha K’s 20 August 2024 review was positive about the crew and meals but reported cabin water-supply problems. This describes that sailing; it does not establish the condition today. Ask about recent maintenance if bathroom reliability or cabin comfort is a deciding factor.

When another boat might suit you better
Blue Force 2 makes sense if you want northern wrecks and reefs, twin-bed accommodation and a smaller group. If your priority is a double bed, expansive suites or a southern Brothers–Daedalus–Elphinstone trip, compare other departures before choosing a cabin here. The current North programmes are the clearest guide to what this boat actually offers.

Questions worth settling before booking
Are all eight nights of Extended North spent aboard?
No. The package combines seven boat nights with one hotel night in Sharm el Sheikh, on half board. It offers six diving days compared with five on North.
Does Blue Force 2 have a single cabin or double beds?
The current operator layout lists nine twin cabins with two separate beds each. Ask for the sharing policy or a sole-occupancy quote rather than assuming a dedicated single cabin.
Which cabins have windows?
The four upper-deck cabins, numbered 6–9, have windows. The five lower-deck cabins have portholes.
How much should I add for mandatory onboard charges?
The published 2026 programme lists €120 in fees and €110 service charge, totalling €230 per person. Confirm whether your quoted price already includes them. Nitrox is separately listed at €60.
Will every trip visit Thistlegorm and all four Tiran reefs?
Thistlegorm and Tiran are programme highlights, but individual dives and their order depend on conditions and the sailing plan. The map is not a guaranteed checklist.
Can a non-diving partner join?
Confirm the specific departure, fare and available snorkelling with the operator. The holiday follows a diving schedule, so a companion should be comfortable spending much of the week aboard.
