Bahamas Master dive boat review
The 35 meters Bahamas Master is a new liveaboard (2018) in the Bahamas. Renovated in 2017, the newest addition to the Master fleet is ready to explore the best dive sites of the Bahamas. Mixing shark visits, reef explorations and wreck diving, the itineraries will be perfect for every scuba diver.

Boat Cabins & Layout
The Bahamas Master welcomes a maximum of 16 divers, hosting them in 8 comfortable cabins. The cabins are available in different layouts and you can choose the type of cabin that will best fit your needs. First, there are 2 cabins that each feature a double-bed and a private bathroom. Secondly, there are two cabins with an en-suite bathroom as well, but which feature twin beds instead. Finally, the remaining four cabins have shared bathrooms and twin beds. Moreover, each cabin has individually controlled air-conditioning.

Bahamas Master’s On-board Facilities
The main deck of the MV Bahamas Master is home to a spacious lounge. Indeed, the indoor area is fitted with couches and tables and features a complete entertainment unit with audio/video system. This lounge also features a snack, tea/coffee corner. Moreover, as you walk up to the upper deck, you will discover a great outdoor lounge, also used as a dining room. There’s a bar, loungers to relax on, and an incredible view of the Bahamas, changing all along the days.

Vessel Layout
The Bahamas Master can compare to it’s direct competitor, the Bahamas Aggressor. Indeed, they are similar in size and number of guest they accommodate. That being said, the Bahamas Master has a little more space, and it’s used efficiently, giving the boat a great, spacious layout.
Otherwise, the liveaboard boat was fully renovated in 2017 and includes all the latest safety & navigation related technologies.

Scuba Diving with the Bahamas Master
The scuba diving operation on the MV Bahamas Master goes by two steps. It all starts on the dive deck, at the aft the of the ship. Indeed, the dive deck is equipped with individual kitting up stations and plenty of shelves so you can stow away your personal belongings or scuba diving accessories. Also, there are dedicated rinse tanks available as well as a camera set up station.
Furthermore, the scuba diving operation often launches from the diving tender. The Bahamas Master’s diving tender is a smaller boat, yet very well equipped and boasting plenty of space to be comfortable with all your gear on.

Avoid. Did what was supposed to be 5 day trip to Tiger beach but were involved in a collision on the third night. Not necessarily their fault but the company quibbled about paying for a hotel for the remaining nights we were supposed to be on board. Then only offered a 50% refund despite the fact that we only completed 3 dives outside of the check dives meaning I paid over $1000 for three dives. To top it off, there was a lady on the boat who was attempting the trip for the second time after the diveboat ran aground on the first night two years ago. Shoddy operator.
