True North dive boat review

The True North is a luxury liveaboard operating in Australia, Indonesia and Papua New Guinea. In fact, the 50 meters vessel offers both scuba diving cruises, and adventure cruises. Built in 2005, the massive yacht is sturdy, and made for long small ship cruises.

.

The cabins

The True North comfortably welcomes up to 36 guests on each voyage. Indeed, the ship proposes 18 cabins, which are spread over 3 decks. All to be booked in double occupancy, the cabins of the River and Explorer classes have amenable twin / queen bed layout. Also, every room has it’s own private bathroom, air-conditioning, and enough storage space.

True North’s on-board facility

The True North offers spacious social areas, both indoor and outdoor. First, there’s plenty of room in the indoor dining area for everyone to enjoy their meals in the comfort. Also, the salon is massive, boasting all the entertainment you might need to fill the gaps between adventures. Plus, with big windows all over the place, you won’t miss a second of the landscapes surrounding you, whether you are cruising through Indonesia, Australia or Papua New Guinea.

Secondly, the outside is just as attracting, if not more! You will love the observation deck, located at the bow, as you cruise through Australia‘s coast, or elsewhere. Plus, you will be pleased to relax with a drink at the al-fresco bar as you look down on Papua New Guinea‘s sunset. Lastly, the sundeck is ideal for those afternoon naps, or to sunbathe in the sun soaked area.

Diving with the True North

The True North offers a number of different itineraries, in 3 distinct countries, namely Australia, Indonesia and Papua New Guinea. The adventure-filled cruises vary between 10 to 14 days trips. Most small ship cruises of the True North are nature-oriented and filled with plenty of activities, some include a fair share of scuba diving. Either way, the True North is not your usual liveaboard diving cruise as it offers a broader ranger of activities.
