Brown Dhow Liveaboard Review

The Brown Dhow is a liveaboard offering scuba diving cruises and day trips to the Musandam Peninsula in Oman. The 22 meters traditional dive vessel is part of the Al Marsa fleet and has been around since 2005.

Boat Cabin & Layout

The Brown Dhow welcomes up to 12 guests on each voyage or day trip. Indeed, the liveaboard displays 6 double occupancy cabins. Each cabins comes with an en-suite bathroom and air-conditioning. Specifically, there are 4 regular size cabins with side by side twin beds and 2 rooms with bunk beds which are smaller. The latter type is pictured below.

Brown Dhow’s on-board facilities

The dive boat’s main deck is home to an air-conditioned indoor salon featuring huge windows. It’s the perfect place to take a break from the heat, lay on the couch to watch some TV or read a book.

Moreover, the open-air dining area is completely shaded and spacious. You can admire the view of the Musandam peninsula while enjoying a freshly prepared meal. Also, there’s a full length sundeck area where you can use the loungers and soak in the sun rays. It’s also a favorite spot to watch the starry night sky away from any city light.

The Brown Dhow is totally equipped for the diving operation and displays the latest navigation and safety technologies. Indeed, with sisterships, Queen of Musandam and the Red Dhow, this liveaboard explores a very pristine region of our world. Clear waters and unspoiled corals are to be expected.
