  1. Hello Julien

    I am looking to take my 12 year old son diving this Christmas. I have been thinking about Thailand but am having second thoughts as it is going to be very expensive over christmas. Where would you recommend that we go. The Red Sea is perhaps a good option but Im not sure if there is much else to do that a 12 year old boy will like. Any help would be appreciated.

      Aqaba offers excellent diving year round and is a well-kept secret when it comes to Red Sea destinations: Unlike other places you will find that the dive sites here are uncrowded and easily accessible. Come on by and check out our vibrant underwater scene with lush coral reef and awesome variety of marine life!

  2. I am interested in a 2-3 day diving holiday in Aqaba with my 2 sons 14,16 who just finished their 1 star duving course

  5. I urge anyone travelling to Aqaba to steer well clear of Aqaba International Dive Centre. It is by far the least professional dive centre I have ever had the misfortune of working in. The manager refused to pay his staff even the basics of what was offered and he left me without anywhere to sleep, no money and no way of getting home. He doesn’t care about anything but money.

  6. DO NOT go by your hotels recommendation and if they say Mr. Frogman company or Omar Shamily say NO and go with somebody else.
    Dangerous and defective equipment, rode and obnoxious staff. Truly and literally a painful experience.

    • I am so sorry to read about your negative experience with Mr Frogman and Omar, most of all because me and my group of friends had a great diving experience with them. We even went there and dive with them many times and we all have a great feedback for their professionalism. Good thoughts for you!

      • I am glad you had a good experience.
        I think it becomes more exciting to dive with defective equipment and broken mouthpieces and torn vests for example. It’s really amazing how these people disregard basic safety measures.
        Again this is a general warning based on a group’s experience that was terminated halfway the dive to avoid any unfortunate events.
        Regretfully and for the unexperienced divers certain people will not realize the risk they are taking dealing with these individuals.

  7. Hallo
    I see you have entries for both Aqaba and Eilat; I am planning a trip to Israel in September and I would like to know about good-bad experiences in diving centers in Aquaba/Eilat/Taba, prices (I would bring my own equipment), where are the best dive sites and whether it is worth trying going in two or three of these places or the nature to be seen is basically the same in all three.

  10. Dived in aqaba with ahlan aqaba scuba diving center no1 in aqaba and tripadvisor great boat full days with bbq and staff are fantastic make you feel at home

  12. Scuba diving in Aqaba is really amazing. Here you can find mysterious wrecks and beautiful coral reefs. Also available for all certification levels. If you dont have experience – you can choose try dive. If you are certified diver – welcome to the depth!
    I am working as diving instructor here (Coral Garden Diving center, LINK REMOVED) and every day Red Sea surprise me.
    If you have time and opportunity – dont miss it. Also snorkeling is very interesting there

  13. Aqaba is amazing. Here most of the time perfect weather conditions: no wing or currents, visibility more than 30 meters, a lot of fishes and corals.

  14. Aqaba sea is a place full of wonderful corals and fishes , and have a good water temperature all the year (23°).
