Ko Torinla East dive site is located on the East side of Ko Torinla and on the South of Koh Surin Island. This spot provides some of the best hard coral of Thailand. You will find lots of Staghorn coral, whip coral and many gorgonians sea fans. The 2004 Tsunami destroyed some coral but nothing too bad and the reef has mostly recovered fortunately. The marine life is excellent with good chances to spot turtles and whitetip reef sharks. Grey reef skarks have also been spotted on the deeper part of the reef. The shallow part of the reef is very good for a wonderful snorkelling session. The maximum depth is 30 meters and the visibility is usually good to very good. It is also a good dive site for underwater macro photography. Enjoy this superb spot!
Best time to dive: the ideal period to plan holidays here isOctober to November. Access: from the Shore. See the map of Ko Torinla East on the right for the exact location.
