Bahamas Aggressor II dive boat review

Bahamas · Boat guide · Checked 5 October 2026

Choose your cabin, then your Bahamas itinerary

Bahamas Aggressor II pairs en-suite accommodation with an intensive dive week. Its three cabin categories make the choice clear: simple twin beds, a convertible Deluxe layout, or a suite with a balcony.

Which Aggressor? This is the former BVI Aggressor, operating in the Bahamas since May 2025. It is distinct from the original Bahamas Aggressor. Earlier reviews under those names describe different itineraries or vessels and are not transferred here.

Ten cabins, three useful distinctions

Category Rooms and beds What differs
Twin — 3 cabins 1, 2, 4; two single beds 1 and 2 have no porthole; 4 has a porthole
Deluxe — 5 cabins 3, 5, 6, 7, 8; twin beds or king Porthole
Balcony Suite — 2 cabins 9, 10; twin beds or king Private balcony

All cabins have air conditioning and their own bathroom. Total capacity is 20 guests. Request the bed configuration in writing; a category name alone does not tell you whether the beds are prepared as twins or a king.

Solo guests: the published fares below are per person sharing. A solo share or sole-use supplement was not verified for this departure programme; ask for cabin allocation and the complete quote before paying.

Life between dives

A salon, sundeck and hot tub provide alternatives to staying in the cabin. The camera table is useful for photographers, while balcony accommodation buys a private outdoor space. These facilities make it worth comparing the actual cabin and onboard routine with other Bahamas boats rather than relying on a “luxury” label.

2026 budget: fare plus documented charges

The table uses a 7-night Exuma Cays and Southwest Eleuthera reference, per person sharing, in USD. It combines the operator’s 2026 cabin tariff with the port and park fee in its joining guide updated 17 August 2026. Promotions and different itineraries may produce a different quote.

Cabin Base fare Mandatory port + park Known subtotal With optional Nitrox
Twin $3,495 $299 $3,794 $3,894
Deluxe $3,695 $299 $3,994 $4,094
Balcony Suite $4,095 $299 $4,394 $4,494

The optional 7-night Nitrox package is $100; certification is required. Flights, transfers, hotel nights, equipment rental, courses, insurance and gratuities are outside these subtotals. Confirm the itemised booking terms; these figures are not a door-to-door holiday price. The guide lists $389 port/park fees for its 10-night option; do not apply the 7-night amount to every voyage.

Exumas reefs or a different shark itinerary?

The Exumas and Southwest Eleuthera programme plans around 24–27 dives in seven nights, subject to conditions. Entries are from the yacht’s dive deck. Standard cylinders are 12-litre / 80-cubic-foot with yoke valves; DIN users should confirm an adapter rather than rely on limited onboard stock. Bring a dive computer and certification documentation. Nitrox 32 is optional for qualified divers.

Do not book an Exumas departure assuming it includes Tiger Beach. A shark-focused itinerary may use Freeport instead of Nassau. Check the route, embarkation port and required experience for the exact sailing. Wildlife sightings and specific sites cannot be guaranteed.

Joining the Nassau programme

The detailed Exumas guide specifies Saturday boarding from 4–6 pm at Bay Street Marina Annex, F Dock, Nassau, and disembarkation the following Saturday at 8 am. Fly to Nassau (NAS); arriving the day before gives a buffer for delays. Transfers are not included. Follow your final joining instructions if the timing or berth changes, and plan the post-dive flight interval with the operator.

How does it compare?

Aqua Cat is the closest en-suite catamaran alternative in this shortlist. Compare its cabin layout and 7-night total with Aggressor II’s Deluxe category. Blackbeard’s Morning Star lowers the cruise budget with shared bunk accommodation; it is not the same cabin product. For a smaller private-cabin catamaran with shared bathrooms, consider Cat Ppalu in the full comparison.

Before you book

Is this the old Bahamas Aggressor?

No. Bahamas Aggressor II was previously BVI Aggressor. The original Bahamas Aggressor has a separate history and review page.

Which cabin has a balcony?

Rooms 9 and 10, the Balcony Suites. Deluxe cabins have portholes; Twin rooms 1 and 2 do not.

Is $3,495 the complete cruise cost?

No. For the 7-night Exumas reference, add $299 port and park fees: $3,794 before optional Nitrox and other extras.

Can I book Tiger Beach from Nassau?

Do not assume so. Confirm the named itinerary and port; dedicated shark departures can use Freeport.

Is Nitrox included?

No. The operator lists a $100 unlimited package for seven nights. Bring proof of Nitrox certification.
