MV Sharifa: what to know before booking
MV Sharifa is a 32 m Maldives safari boat with a separate dive dhoni. Dive The World currently marks it unavailable: do not treat the older prices or year-round schedule as a bookable offer.
MV Sharifa vessel and refit history
A 2015 Scubaportal account describes a Maldivian-built wooden vessel launched in 2005. The earlier Divezone article mentions a 2015 renovation, but its extent is not independently confirmed. Older descriptions disagree on capacity: Dive The World describes 18 guests in eight cabins, whereas this page previously described nine cabins and 23 guests. Request the current certified layout before committing.

Life aboard MV Sharifa
On the main deck you’ll find the salon, bar and dining area. Moving to the upper deck are the two suite cabins plus a generously sized sun deck with loungers. These features appear in the earlier vessel description; ask for recent photographs before choosing a room.
Diving, itinerary and transfers
The earlier seven-night Central Atolls route covered North Malé, South Malé, Felidhoo/Vaavu and North and South Ari. It is historical route information, not a confirmed sailing. The dive dhoni keeps equipment separate from the main accommodation; establish its current provision and guide arrangements with the operator.
Travelling with a non-diver on Sharifa?
Confirm a non-diving place directly for Sharifa and the chosen departure. A current boat-specific acceptance policy and companion fare have not been established here. Ask whether the booking is a shared cruise berth or a whole-yacht charter, and obtain the price for your dates, duration, cabin and occupancy, including taxes and transfers. Skipping dives does not by itself establish a discount.
Request a practical programme for the companion: which guided snorkeling sessions or island excursions are actually planned, whether equipment and guidance are included, and which activities cost extra. Confirm age or supervision conditions where relevant. A diving or surfing charter may leave a non-participating guest aboard for substantial periods; do not assume that a tender, sundeck or an old excursion description guarantees daily outings.

Compare a dated quote for your actual departure and cabin, including currency, nights and occupancy. Ask for the compulsory charges, transfers and diving package as a written total, then add travel, rental equipment and optional spending. Confirm the boarding point and final dive time before arranging flights.
What guests say about MV Sharifa
The booking agent explicitly labels its guest reports as relating to previous management. Dane (27 May 2013) liked cleanliness, staff and food. Lindsay (21 May 2013) praised staff but reported limitations with rental equipment. These old accounts cannot establish today’s service or condition.

Which cabin count should I use?
Published descriptions disagree. Budget from a numbered cabin allocation and the confirmed passenger limit, rather than combining the largest numbers from different sources.
Is the 2015 renovation verified?
It was stated in the earlier Divezone article. A detailed refit record was not found, so no present-condition guarantee follows from that date.
What diver experience is required?
Older sources give different logged-dive thresholds. Ask for the requirement for your actual route, including certification and recent diving experience.
Is Nitrox or rental equipment included?
Current provision and pricing were not established. Request the equipment list and gas options together with the quotation.
