Hope Cruiser: what to know before booking
Hope Cruiser is a small-group Maldives charter vessel for up to 12 guests in six air-conditioned, en-suite cabins. Blue Ocean Maldives lists it in its fleet; confirm that your chosen charter includes scuba diving, rather than assuming every cruise does.
Hope Cruiser vessel and refit history
Blue Ocean gives dimensions of 26.52 m by 7.32 m, seven crew and a 10–12-knot cruising speed. Maldivian Charter records a 2000 build and a 2012 refit; no later refit programme was verified.

Life aboard Hope Cruiser
There are two dining area options, one indoors and the other at the aft of Hope Cruiser. As you walk upstairs, you will notice the sizable sundeck. The sundeck is partially shaded and displays day beds, tables and chairs, so there’s somewhere to settle between activities.
Diving, itinerary and transfers
The earlier diving description used a 12 m tender around Malé and Ari. The current operator page does not establish that this equipment and programme accompany every charter. Ask for the dive package, daily dive count, guide and support-boat provision before comparing prices.
Travelling with a non-diver on Hope Cruiser?
Confirm a non-diving place directly for Hope Cruiser and the chosen departure. A current boat-specific acceptance policy and companion fare have not been established here. Ask whether the booking is a shared cruise berth or a whole-yacht charter, and obtain the price for your dates, duration, cabin and occupancy, including taxes and transfers. Skipping dives does not by itself establish a discount.
Request a practical programme for the companion: which guided snorkeling sessions or island excursions are actually planned, whether equipment and guidance are included, and which activities cost extra. Confirm age or supervision conditions where relevant. A diving or surfing charter may leave a non-participating guest aboard for substantial periods; do not assume that a tender, sundeck or an old excursion description guarantees daily outings.

Confirm the boarding point and final dive time before arranging flights.

Is Hope Cruiser suitable for a small private group?
The operator advertises groups of six to twelve with six guest cabins. Request a whole-boat quote and check whether the quoted minimum group size affects price.
Can two friends have separate beds?
Older photographs show a lower double and upper single. Confirm the actual room arrangement rather than assuming side-by-side twin beds.
Is Nitrox available?
The PADI dive-centre listing says it is not available. Confirm the current gas supply before committing, especially if enriched air is important to your trip.
Is the 2012 refit the latest?
It is the refit date found in a charter listing. Later work was not verified; ask for current room and bathroom photos.
Are three dives a day included?
The earlier article described that pattern, but it is not established by the current operator page. Agree the number of dives, night dives and first/last-day schedule in the quote.
