MV South Moon dive boat review
The South Moon is a 27 meters liveaboard sailing to the best of the Red Sea. Built in 2004, the dive boat has undergone an extensive rebuilding phase before being launched again in 2014. Indeed, it’s modernized and ready for great scuba diving trips!

Boat Cabins & Layout
The South Moon can welcome up to 20 guests on each voyage. Indeed, it features 10 cozy cabins, which are all twin shared with either side-by-side beds or bunk-beds. Every room has an en-suite bathroom, air-conditioning and more than enough place for your personal belongings.

South Moon’s On-board Facilities
The South Moon has plenty of social areas, both indoor and outdoor. First, there is a massive dining and lounge area on the main deck. That’s where freshly cooked meals will be served everyday. Also, the lounge is cozy and features a television and extensive media library.

Furthermore, if you step outside, you’ll find two sundeck areas. Indeed, one is located on the main deck and has a lounge and a bar, the second is the top deck. On the top sundeck, you’ll find mats and cushioned benches, it’s the perfect place to sun bath and admire the views of the Red Sea.

Vessel Layout
The wooden-hulled South Moon belongs to the Sea Queen Fleet which has downsized in recent years. Indeed, their main focus is the South Moon and that’s why she was completely rebuilt and now offers incredible quality accommodation.

Scuba Diving with the South Moon
The spacious dive deck has everything you need, nitrox, air station, storage, rinse tanks, etc. Plus, it features a camera station with separate rinse tanks for your camera gear. The dive deck has plenty of kitting up space and allows 20 divers with gear on to move around without feeling cramped.
Moreover, the dive platform is also spacious and convenient to enter and exit the water on the dive tenders. Indeed, there are two inflatable dive tenders to assist the mother ship in the scuba diving operation!
Finally, the professional staff is reputed to take great care of divers and guide them to the best of the Red Sea scuba diving!
