Nusantara dive boat review
The Nusantara Liveaboard is a traditional Indonesian vessel operating diving cruises in Komodo National Park. Renovated in 2021, this 20 meters vessel offers a unique and modest experience. Offering itineraries between 2 and 4 nights, this diving cruise will make you discover some of the best diving spots in Indonesia.
Side note: To avoid any confusion, the Nusantara and the Dewi Nusantara are not the same vessels, but they both sail in Indonesia.
The cabins
The Nusantara liveaboard offers an intimate experience since the boat welcomes a maximum of 12 guests. The vessel features a dorm cabin that can accommodate 8 divers in bunk beds with privacy curtains. The dorm room also features a fan and storage place for your personal belongings. For the 4 other guests, the boat offers the possibility of sleeping under the stars. Indeed, 4 mattresses are located on the upper deck and allow the guests to enjoy the nice ocean breeze. The upper deck also features storage spaces for the guests sleeping outside. Furthermore, you will find 2 shared bathrooms on the boat and there is a cleaning service offered for both the outdoor and indoor dorms.

Nusantara’s On-board Facilities
On the Nusantara liveaboard, you will have plenty of room to relax between the dives. Indeed, on the upper deck, it is possible to relax on a large and comfortable sun deck. The sun deck features bean chairs which are perfect to enjoy the beautiful sunset after a diving day. Plus, you will also find an outdoor dining area where the guests eat every meal. Every day, you will have the opportunity to eat a variety of meals served buffet-style. Other activities such as stand-up paddle boarding as well as snorkeling are available on this diving cruise.
Scuba Diving with the Nusantara
Custom-built for diving, the Nusantara liveaboard will get you to explore the best dive sites in Komodo. The vessel features a large dive deck at the rear of the boat The deck is large enough for divers to prepare their gear. Note that gear rental is also available on demand. On the boat, you will find everything you need to have the best diving experience. Indeed, the diving cruise features outside showers, charging stations, rinse hoses, and more.
The Nusantara offers guests a simple, and personalized experience. The itineraries are built to insure that you will experience some of the best diving spots in Indonesia such as Manta Point and Batu Bolong. During your stay, you will have the opportunity to do between 9 and 15 dives depending on the length of the diving cruise chosen. Padang Bai
Night Diving, Underwater Macro Photography, Resident Whitetip Reef Sharks, Huge green Turtles, and crystal clear water! Also a great Snorkelling spot!
Menjangan Island
Menjangan Island is famous worldwide for Wall diving with small caverns to explore. The reef and Coral are also great. A very nice wooden wreck from the 19th century: Anker Wreck.
Nusa Penida / Nusa Lembongan
One of the best spots in the world to see the rare Mola Mola and the graceful Manta Rays! Big fishes and action with lots of sharks. Very good Visibility and stunning Coral.
Candidasa
It is all about action! Big pelagic fishes, hunting action in the current, and many Sharks! Regular seeing of Hammerhead Sharks and Mola Mola!
Bali
Diving in Bali is simply amazing as you will see both an incredible array of marine life and plenty of wrecks. Indeed, Bali's underwater world will expose you to meet interesting critters, fishes of all sizes and mantas rays among others! Plus, scuba diving in Bali means being all in for stunning underwater visibility and great opportunities for drift diving. !
