Ko Tachai dive site, also known as Twin Peaks is, along with Ko Bon, one of the most famous spots of the Surin Island National Park. Ko Tachai is actually located on the North Side of the Similan Islands but divers usually do so during a Liveaboard trip to the Surin Islands. On the Southern Side of the Island, you can find rock boulders worth exploring with many swim-throughs. The site is famous for spotting Manta Rays, as well as Leopard Sharks and turtles. If you are lucky you might even see a Whale Shark! So prepare your camera! As the site is in open water and the current can be sometimes quite strong, this dive site is reserved to experienced divers.
Best time to dive: the ideal period to plan holidays here isOctober to November. Access: from the Shore. See the map of Ko Tachai on the right for the exact location.
