Waterfall Bay dive site is located on the Northwest side of Similan Island number 8. The name comes from the waterfall flowing in the bay during the rainy season. It is used by the liveabaords to refill water. With a depth ranging between 18 m and 56 m deep, this dive spot is more suitable for experienced divers but is still accesible to Padi Open water or CMAS 1 stars. The current is usually gentle. You can see all of the usual reef fishes of the Andaman Sea and turtles are quite common. It is also a good dive site in the Similans for macro lovers with anemone crabs, boxer shrimp, nudibranchs, and flatworms. It is sometimes even possible to spot a nurse shark.
