The West of Eden dive site in the Similan Islands is located just west of the famous and popular East of Eden dive site. The spot is far less crowded but features interesting boulders and canyons to explore. It is in fact regarded as the best dive spot on the west side of the Similans Islands. The marine life is very rich with moray eels, various species of reef sharks, and turtles. It is also quite common to see large schools of pelagic fiches such as Barracudas, giant trevallies, and dogtooth tunas. The critter fan will be delighted with many nudibranches, pipefishes and fire gobies. West of Eden dive site is reserved to intermediate to experienced divers as current can be sometimes strong. When it is the case it can be a really good drift dive! Enjoy
Best time to dive: the ideal period to plan holidays here isOctober to November. Access: from the Shore. See the map of West of Eden on the right for the exact location.
