MY Oceanos dive boat review
The Oceanos is a 39 meters liveaboard offering scuba diving cruises on the Red Sea. Built in 2012, the vessel visits some of the best dives sites on the Red Sea such as Brothers, Daedalus and Elphinstone, but also Dahab, North Tiran, and much more.
The cabins
The MY Oceanos has 14 cabins and thus can welcome a maximum of 28 divers. Each cabin features a private bathroom as well as an individually controlled air-conditioning. Also, the rooms have added amenities like a mini-bar fridge, bathrobes, towels and plenty of storage space.

Oceanos on-board facilities
The social areas of the boat are spacious enough that everybody can gather together comfortably. The dining room, pictured below, proposes a restaurant display that seems very pleasant. Plus, the salon is huge, and equipped with an entertainment system.
.
Furthermore, there’s plenty of space on the Oceanos to lounge in the sun. The top deck is an entire sundeck, filled with bean bags, mats and loungers. There’s no more perfect place to enjoy a view on the Red Sea. Plus, you’ll find jacuzzi tub at the aft of the upper deck.

Scuba diving with the Oceanos
The dive deck is spacious and allows plenty of space to gear up. Towards the dive platform, you’ll have all the tanks lined-up on individual stations with under bench storage. The equipment storage area is closer to the entrance to get inside the boat and includes showers and toilets. Plus, indoor you will find a camera room so you can work on your toys in a dry place.
The Oceanos scuba diving cruises concentrate around some of the best dive sites on the Red Sea. Routes are either the Fury Shoals & St-Johns, the combo with Brothers, Daedalus & Elphinstone, or the North Tiran & Dahab route.
Price starts at 1,307$US for 8 days/7 nights – Various itineraries

The boat is well equipped and well designed. the owners are friendly and professional. The price is rather on the high side. Food was excellent (buffet at lunch and evening, cold + hot).
Nitrox for free (sometimes even when we expected an air refill).
Forget about cold beer in the bar. The fridge has received a new coat of painting but it is almost non functioning. Some investment needed in the speedboats and the ladder.
Would definitely recommend.
