KLM Mari dive boat review
The Mari is a 30 meters liveaboard offering scuba diving cruises in Indonesia. The Mari offers itineraries in Raja Ampat, the Komodo National Park and the Banda Sea. Last renovated in 2016, the Mari offers both a comfortable and modern cruise. Also, with an emphasis put on the quality of the cruise, the Mari welcomes a small number of 10 passengers on each voyage.
The Cabins
Welcoming only 10 guests on-board, the Mari can offer spacious cabins and lavish social areas. The 5 cabins are located on the main deck, thus they all have good size windows. Plus each room features a private bathroom, air-conditioning and enough storage space.
As for the layout, there are 2 cabins with both a double bed and a single bunk. Also, 1 cabin has a king size bed, while the remaining 2 are twin shared, featuring bunk beds.

Mari’s on-board facilities
The boat offers massive social areas so you can always have a sense of privacy during the cruise. Indeed, with a maximum of 10 guests aboard, the lounge, dining area and sundeck are definitely considered over sized! First, the open air dining area and lounge are located on the upper deck. Thus, they allow a fantastic panoramic view over the landscapes of Indonesia‘s many islands.

Secondly, there are two sundeck areas on the Mari. The first one is located at the bow, as pictured below, and the second one is on the very top deck. Of course, both areas offer a stunning view overlooking Raja Ampat, or Komodo, or any Indonesian region you’re in! You will find cozy loungers and mats to lay on and soak in the sun rays.

The KLM Mari has seen is equipment fully upgraded in 2016. It’s with newer, modern technologies related to safety and navigation purpose that the Mari will take you on a journey through some of the best dive sites in the world.
Scuba diving with the KLM Mari
The Mari follows the best season to dive in each region it covers, thus, the boat is offering diving cruises all year round! Indeed, from July to October, the Mari sails to Komodo National park, offering various itineraries. The Flores and Forgotten Islands area is visited on the way to Raja Ampat. Then, the boat travels to Raja Ampat and explores the best scuba diving sites in the region until next April.

Padang Bai
Night Diving, Underwater Macro Photography, Resident Whitetip Reef Sharks, Huge green Turtles, and crystal clear water! Also a great Snorkelling spot!
Menjangan Island
Menjangan Island is famous worldwide for Wall diving with small caverns to explore. The reef and Coral are also great. A very nice wooden wreck from the 19th century: Anker Wreck.
Nusa Penida / Nusa Lembongan
One of the best spots in the world to see the rare Mola Mola and the graceful Manta Rays! Big fishes and action with lots of sharks. Very good Visibility and stunning Coral.
Candidasa
It is all about action! Big pelagic fishes, hunting action in the current, and many Sharks! Regular seeing of Hammerhead Sharks and Mola Mola!
Bali
Diving in Bali is simply amazing as you will see both an incredible array of marine life and plenty of wrecks. Indeed, Bali's underwater world will expose you to meet interesting critters, fishes of all sizes and mantas rays among others! Plus, scuba diving in Bali means being all in for stunning underwater visibility and great opportunities for drift diving. !
