Epica dive boat review
The Epica is a budget liveaboard cruising the waters of Indonesia. Indeed, the 24 meters boat offers a low-cost cruise to Komodo National Park and Raja Ampat. Promoting a simple boat and amazing scuba diving at a backpacker friendly price, the Epica is set for fun-filled adventures.
The cabins
The Epica offers somewhat modest accommodation, but it’s cozy and has everything you need. The small diving cruiser can welcome up to 16 guests, hosting them in 8 twin shared cabins. There are two bathrooms on-board, shared among all divers.

Epica’s on-board facilities
The Epica features an open-air main social area. Located on the upper deck, the space is ideal to relax between dives and in the evening. You’ll find a big, family like, table and bean bags all over the place. Also, you can enjoy your meals there, when not inside. The indoor dining and lounging area allows everybody to get together comfortable and share their adventures with each other.
Plus, the roof of the main cabin is used as a sundeck, ideal to have a totally unspoiled view over Indonesia. Take a bean bag, move it there and enjoy!
Scuba diving with the Epica Indonesia
The boat keeps it “simple but good” for everything but the scuba diving part! Indeed, that’s the main focus of the entire operation. The Epica might be newest addition to the Scuba Republic fleet, which also operates the Jaya, but the crew has lots of experience in Komodo and Raja Ampat.
The diving groups are divided in maximum 4 people, which insures a great and safe dive every time. The waters of Indonesia, whether in Komodo or Raja Ampat, are among the richest in the world. The Epica is all equipped to offer a budget diving cruise, thus an incredible chance to discover the marine world of the country.
Price starts at 1,400$US for 6 days/ 5 nights – Various itineraries
