MSY Aurora On-board Facilities
The Aurora was built with style and comfort in mind and based on the traditional Phinisi boat model. That being said, all the latest safety and technology features give this boat a noticeable modern touch. The generous interiors will definitely please the most discerning divers. Furthermore, the dining and lounge areas are fully equipped with a kitchen and bar and boasts more than enough room for everybody to gather together.
At the stern, there is an open-air seating area with tables where you can enjoy a drink and play games or chat with fellow divers. Vessel Layout
The MSY Aurora has a very unique design. Indeed, the 40 meters length is impressive, but doesn’t mean it’s much more spacious in term of living space than shorter yacht such as the Mermaid I (32 meters in length). Indeed, the living space is pretty much the same, what makes the Aurora stand out, it’s the traditional wooden boat style combined with modern features.
Unparalleled in Indonesia is the Aurora’s well established endeavor to visit the least visited and most remote dive sites of Raja Ampat, Komodo, the Banda Sea, etc.
Scuba Diving with the MSY Aurora
First, the entire diving operation is very well supervised on the Aurora, and allows professional guidance on many levels. Indeed, underwater photography enthusiasts will be happy to have advice from professional video and photo experts. Moreover, there’s a complete charging and work station area (camera room) on the Aurora liveaboard.
Second, if the Aurora is not yet on our Best Liveaboards of Indonesia’s list, it’s simply because it’s newer on our site. We are confident that it will make it’s place in the top ranking in the next months. Don’t miss on it!
Finally, scuba diving is conducted from 3 diving tenders. Indeed, this facilitates access to remote dive sites. One thing is sure, with the Aurora you’ll see things that have rarely, or never, been seen!

Komodo is beautiful! We sure recommend! We’ve experienced amazing encounters of manta ray on one site and quick sighting on another. Anyways, the Komodo region seems to be teeming with fish life and it’s amazing, now i don’t know why I was reading some critical comments about Komodo… it’s still very well alive! The cruise was amazing, the land expeditions were incredible! Nothing to say really… cozy vessel with lovely crew and pro dive team… Now safe and sound back in Germany! Gotta miss Indonesia! Happy bubbles everybody!
