Key Responsibilities:

  1. Plan, organize, and supervise diving operations in accordance with project requirements and safety protocols.
  2. Conduct pre-dive briefings and safety checks to ensure all team members are adequately prepared for underwater tasks.
  3. Provide guidance and direction to dive team members, including dive tenders and support staff, to ensure efficient and safe execution of tasks.
  4. Monitor dive conditions, environmental factors, and potential hazards to mitigate risks and ensure the well-being of team members.
  5. Inspect and maintain diving equipment, including air supply systems, dive suits, and underwater tools, to ensure proper functioning and safety compliance.
  6. Maintain accurate records of dive activities, including dive logs, equipment inspections, and safety documentation.
  7. Communicate with project managers, clients, and other stakeholders to provide updates on project progress, challenges, and recommendations.
  8. Collaborate with dive team members to troubleshoot equipment issues, resolve operational challenges, and optimize workflow efficiency.
  9. Stay informed about industry developments, best practices, and regulatory changes related to diving operations.
  10. Foster a culture of safety, professionalism, and teamwork among dive team members through training, mentoring, and positive reinforcement.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a Diving Supervisor or similar role in commercial diving operations.
  • Certification as a Dive Supervisor from a recognized diving organization (e.g., ADCI, IMCA) required.
  • Advanced certification as a commercial diver (e.g., ADCI, HSE) preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of diving procedures, equipment, and safety protocols.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in dynamic and challenging underwater environments.
  • Physical fitness and ability to pass medical evaluations for commercial diving.
  • Willingness to travel and work in diverse locations and conditions.
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
