Description

The IT Staff will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of Globe Industries' IT systems, providing technical support to employees, and assisting in the development and maintenance of IT infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of IT systems and troubleshooting, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Key Responsibilities

  1. System Maintenance and Support
    • Manage and maintain hardware, software, and network systems to ensure optimal performance.
    • Provide technical support to employees, troubleshooting and resolving IT-related issues promptly.
  2. Network Administration
    • Monitor and maintain the company’s LAN, WAN, and Wi-Fi networks to ensure seamless connectivity.
    • Manage user accounts, permissions, and access rights in systems like Active Directory.
  3. Data Security and Backup
    • Implement and oversee data security protocols to protect company assets.
    • Perform regular backups and ensure data recovery procedures are in place and functional.
  4. Software and Hardware Management
    • Install, configure, and update software and hardware systems.
    • Maintain an inventory of IT assets and recommend upgrades or replacements as needed.
  5. System Improvements and Projects
    • Assist in planning and executing IT-related projects, including system upgrades and new technology implementations.
    • Research and recommend innovative solutions to improve IT infrastructure efficiency.

Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field is preferred. Relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA, Microsoft, Cisco) are a plus.
  • Experience: 2+ years of experience in IT support or system administration.
  • Skills:
    • Strong knowledge of Windows and Mac operating systems.
    • Familiarity with networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP) and hardware (routers, switches).
    • Experience with troubleshooting hardware, software, and network issues.
    • Knowledge of cybersecurity principles and tools.
    • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
