Galapagos Legend Cruise Ship Review

The Galapagos Legend is a small ship cruise that covers the Galapagos Islands region, in Ecuador. Indeed, the 92 meters vessel offers adventure cruises to discover the best of the Galapagos Islands with water sports, hikes and wildlife observation. Built in 2002, the ship has been revamped in 2016 to maintain high standards of comfort.

Cabins

The Galapagos Legend can welcome up to 100 guests, welcoming them in 55 lavish cabins. Indeed, renovated in 2016, the cabins display various layouts and a nice, neutral tone interior decoration. Of all the rooms, 52 are ocean-view cabins, 7 of them with and only 3 are interior cabins. Moreover, all cabins have a private en-suite bathroom, air-conditioning and offer plenty of space.

Cruise ship features

The Galapagos Legend features a lot of the facilities which a commercial cruise ship would have, but with the intimacy of small ship cruises. Indeed, you will find a large auditorium / conference room on the ship as well as a gym, a library and a boutique. Plus, the indoor lounge and bar, features wall-to-wall panoramic windows so you ca always admire the Galapagos Islands seascape.

Moreover, the bow of the main deck features a jacuzzi. Plus, there is a swimming pool and a sundeck area on the sky deck. The very top deck, which they call the “moon deck” proposes an outdoor dining area. Indeed, that’s a second restaurant, as there is an indoor one on the sea deck.

Galapagos Legend’s itineraries & activities

The Galapagos Legend offers four different itineraries, which explore a unique part of the Galapagos Islands. You can combine two or more routes together to make a longer cruise.

Regarding the activities, the boat is fully equipped for water sports. Indeed, you will find a center with snorkeling equipment on-board, and diving might be available upon request. Also, they have kayaks and dinghies to get closer to the marine environment! Of course, the main draw will be the many shore landings on the Galapagos Islands.
