Mid Reef dive site is situated a bit South of Mandarin Valley. Like all the diving around Kapalai Island, you can find here many small stuff and critters like Harlequin Ghost Pipefish, Frog Fish, Stone Fish, Octopus, Mandarin Fish, Mantis shrimp, Lobsters, Ribbon eels and many rare Nudibranchs. The dive site is famous for its Pygmy Seahorse hidding in the Coral, so be patient and open your eyes sharp. A very good dive site for underwater macro photography, so don’t forget your camera! Also the current can be qui strong here, so always stay close to your buddy.
You can dive Mid Reef all year long. Access: from the Shore. See the map of Mid Reef on the right for the exact location.
