Yapak is the most famous dive site in Boracay Island and one of the best spots in the whole of the Philippines. Yapak is actually made up of 4 different unique spots. Yapak 2 is the most popular one. It consists of 2 deep walls featuring beautiful coral with huge gorgonian sea fans and a teeming marine life. It is actually a very good place to observe big fishes like Pelagic Fishes such as Barracudas, Giant Trevallies and Dogtooth Tunas. You can also observe Grey Reef Sharks patrolling the area and Whitetip Reef Sharks resting. If you are lucky, you might even catch a glimpse of a Hammerhead Shark or a Manta Ray!
Yapak dive site is reserved to experienced divers only because of the depth and the often strong current in the area. Indeed the 2 walls range from 30m to 60m deep! To reach Yapak Wall, you start by a negative entry into the blue and reach the top of the wall at 32m deep. It is quite an impressive dive!
It takes about 15min to go there by boat from Boracay.
You can dive Yapak all year long. Access: from the Shore. See the map of Yapak on the right for the exact location.
