The Darwin Buddy and the Wolf Buddy liveaboards are no longer operating in the Galapagos Islands as of 2014.
MV Darwin Buddy Diving Boat Review
The MV Darwin Buddy motor yacht with a length of 37 m operates with this motto: to provide an excellent diving and Galapagos liveaboard experience to hardcore divers as well as total newbies.
Darwin Buddy boat regularly runs 7 night trips with 10 crew members heading to the two best dive sites around the islands of Wolf and Darwin (and yes, you guessed it, that’s where the ship’s name comes from, as well as their sister ship, MY Wolf Buddy).

The air-conditioned cabins sleep up to 16 divers, each with its own private bathroom and entertainment system which includes a flat-screen TV and a DVD player. The solace and peace found inside these cabins are very inviting after a beautiful day of diving. The sundeck is a perfect setting for a tasty breakfast, lunch or dinner. Cocktails and other refreshments (alcohol and non-alcoholic) are also available in the bar.
Before or after scuba diving, guests can loosen up in the saloon or the sun deck and socialize with other new-found dive buddies. MY Darwin Buddy also provides a nice dining experience for people on board. Italian, Latin American, and international dishes, with 3 choices per sitting are served buffet style. Electronic tracking devices are given also to each diver to ensure personal safety of all divers.
