Beagle ship review
The Beagle is small ship cruiser exploring the Galapagos Islands. Indeed, the 32 meters boat sails two different itineraries, leaving and returning to Baltra. The routes are offered weekly and cover either the North West or the South East portion of the Galapagos Islands, more details below.
Cabins
The Beagle can cater to 14 passengers on each voyage. The 7 cabins are located on the lower deck and offer double occupancy accommodation. You will find a private bathroom with hot water shower as well as air-conditioning in every room. Plus, most cabins come with a double lower berth and a single upper bunk bed. Only one cabin has two single bunks.

Cruise ship features
The boat features both indoor and outdoor social areas. Indeed, the indoor air-conditioned lounge is spacious and equipped with a complete audio and video system. Plus, the meals could always be enjoyed inside, when not in the open-air dining area. There’s also a big sundeck, ideal for wildlife spotting while you cruise the Galapagos Islands.
Beagle’s itineraries and activities
The Beagle proposes two different routes, both going for 8 days, 7 nights. Also, the adventure cruises are starting in Baltra, which is conveniently located close by the airport.
Here is a preview of the two itineraries:
- North Western Route: This route goes from Santa Cruz Island, sails as far as Genovesa Island and sails around Isabela Island with a stop on Fernandina Island. Indeed, you will visit iconic places like the Darwin Beach Bay, the Tagus Cove, the Tortoise Breeding Centre and Punta Espinoza.
- Centre Southern Route: The islands visited are Floreana, Espanola San Cristobal, Santa Fe, and Bartholeme. One of the main draw on this one is probably the visit to the Darwin Research Center.
Furthermore, like on most Galapagos adventure cruise, you will have naturalists guides on the trip. Indeed, they are very knowledgeable of the region and will be able to inform you on the island’s history, culture and wildlife.
Cruise ship availability
Cruising the Galapagos Islands all year, the Beagle will pick you up and drop you off at the airport.
Price starts at 3,990$US for 8 days/7 nights on both routes
